OARS 8th Grade Competitive Program

The 8th grade competitive program is designed to be a bridge from middle school to high school rowing. Rowers will be developing their rowing knowledge base and work together to develop a solid team culture. 8th grade strength & conditioning will focus on functional movement and individual development.  On the water rowers will be given many opportunities to learn to scull and develop their correct technique.

 

 

This program is for those 8th graders who are committed to excellence and have a desire to compete at a more serious level.

Who is eligible for the 8th Grade Program?
Any 8th grader who is ready for a more competitive program.

Practice Times / Days
4 Days per week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday morning. (May add a 5th day if needed during spring regatta season.)

All school breaks are off.  (Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring break.)
